Tula House

Tula House is a plant store in Brooklyn, NY offering a variety of botanical products and services. As a passion project, I designed a hypothetical identity system for Tula House along with a custom typeface that is designed referencing the structural composition of plants. The identity system is a play-off on the idea of containers. Outlines of pots that would normally hold substrate and house the roots of plants in real life are repurposed to contain typography and imagery in this new identity.

Tula House is a plant store in Brooklyn, NY offering a variety of botanical products and services. I designed a custom typeface along with an accompanying identity system that reflect the playful sentiment of Tula House.

The custom display typeface, Tula Sans, was designed to reference the nodes and internodes found in the structural composition of plants.

The identity system is a play-off on the idea of containers. Outlines of pots that would normally hold substrate and house the roots of plants in real life are repurposed to contain typography and imagery in this new identity.
